Dakota Blue Richards Acting Doubts
Dakota Blue Richards insists she was never sure about becoming an actress.
The 14-year-old rising star was originally plucked from thousands of hopefuls to play the lead in the Golden Compass, but speaking at the London premiere of her second feature film, The Secret Of Moonacre, she confessed she'd never been certain about becoming famous.
"I wasn't sure at first if this was what I wanted to do because there are always going to be bits of things that you don't like," she explained "But then if I think what I would do if I didn't do this, I can't imagine myself doing anything else because this is what I like to do."
"Acting is fun and different and if I can have that opportunity I want to take it" she added.
The movie's director Gabor Csupo was full of praise for his young leading lady.
"She's very, very talented and never over-acts," he added that he could even see Dakota picking up an Oscar one day. "I really hope so, she would really deserve it," he said.
